In The New Vermeer, creative talents and professional artists from all over the Netherlands bring six lost works by Johannes Vermeer back to life. Each episode of The New Vermeer, presented by Dionne Stax, focuses on a specific lost painting. All participants are guided and evaluated by Vermeer experts Pieter Roelofs and Abbie Vandivere. It is a tribute to the iconic painter but, above all, a tribute to creative talent in the Netherlands. In addition to the television program, the project includes a podcast, a VOD series, an online exhibition, and exhibitions at Museum Prinsenhof Delft, the Mauritshuis in The Hague, and throughout Delft’s historic city center.
